LOCATION

This position will be operating out of our headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania.

Relocation assistance is not provided. This position is not eligible for remote work.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Investment Operations Associate will support the Investment Management and Research (IMR) team. This individual should have a general understanding of investments and financial markets with an interest in investment operations, including model portfolio trading, maintaining operational systems, creating or revising standard procedures, and tracking adherence to model portfolios. This is not a sales position.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring accuracy in trade order creation and execution for model portfolios

  • Linking newly funded accounts to the appropriate model

  • Recording investment activity in CRM and composite management system

  • Maintaining the integrity of the trading and rebalancing software

  • Work closely with upper management and members of the Investment Management and Research team to provide world class service to our advisors throughout the country

  • Client reporting support and data entry

  • Investment and operational projects as needed

  • Identify workflow/system improvements and work to enact changes

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Series 65 registration (or successful completion of Series 65 within 90 days of hire)

  • Operational mindset with a focus on balancing thoroughness and efficiency

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including vlookup, pivot tables, and conditional formatting

  • Demonstrates ownership of tasks and projects

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through

  • Ability to work within a team while maintaining individual ownership over assigned tasks

  • A high degree of professionalism and work ethic

  • Strong listening skills

  • Can do attitude with high energy

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field of study

  • 1-4 years of experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work in an environment where adherence to standard procedures and controls is critical

  • Experience in handling multiple deadlines and time-sensitive situations

  • Knowledge of some, or all, of the following: Fidelity WealthScape, RedBlack, RedTail, Black Diamond, and iRebal
