LOCATION

This position will be operating out of our headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania.

Relocation assistance is not provided. This position is not eligible for remote work.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Investment Management Portfolio Analyst will serve as a member of the Investment Management and Research (IMR) team. The position requires a passion for investing and solid knowledge of global financial markets. This individual should have a keen interest in investment research, portfolio allocation/construction, supporting trade processes, and fund manager due diligence. Candidates with a greater level of experience, especially within the realm of portfolio allocation/construction, may be considered for the Sr. Portfolio Analyst position as well.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Trade order creation and execution

  • Investment research and due diligence of mutual funds, stocks, bonds & ETF’s

  • Allocation research for dynamic and strategic portfolio positions, including asset classes, segments, and sectors.

  • Work closely with upper management and other members of the investment management and research team to provide world class service to our advisors throughout the country

  • Act as a liaison and a product expert for our clients (financial advisors)

  • Assist the IMR team with portfolio construction and asset allocation

  • Client reporting support and data entry

  • Investment and operational projects as needed

  • Identify workflow/system improvements and work to enact changes

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS – PORTFOLIO ANALYST

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Series 65 registration (or successful completion of Series 65 within 90 days of hire)

  • 4 years of experience in an investment analyst role with exposure to manager due diligence, portfolio allocation/construction, and trading, preferably with an RIA

  • Student of the Financial Services Industry and Capital Markets

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Demonstrates ownership of tasks and projects

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through

  • A high degree of professionalism and work ethic

  • Strong listening skills

  • Can do attitude and high energy

 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS – PORTFOLIO ANALYST

  • 4-8 years of experience

  • Knowledge of some, or all, of the following: Bloomberg, Morningstar, Fidelity WealthScape, iRebal, RedBlack, FactSet, RedTail, Black Diamond

  • Pursuing CFA designation

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS – SR. PORTFOLIO ANALYST

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Series 65 registration (or successful completion of Series 65 within 90 days of hire)

  • 4 years of experience in an investment analyst role with exposure to manager due diligence, portfolio allocation construction, and trading, preferably within an RIA

  • Must have passed Level 2 of CFA program, or have a relevant industry designation (CIPM, FRM, etc.)

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Demonstrates ownership of tasks and projects

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through

  • A high degree of professionalism and work ethic

  • Strong listening skills

  • Can do attitude and high energy

 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS – SR. PORTFOLIO ANALYST

  • 7-10 years of experience

  • CFA Charterholder

  • Experience leading a team

  • Knowledge of some or all of the following a plus: Bloomberg, Morningstar, Fidelity WealthScape, iRebal, RedBlack, FactSet, RedTail, Black Diamond
